Understand the business. Then build.
Dallas Worden
Dallas Worden founded Worden. He holds a BA in Economics from Michigan State University with a business cognate. He began at a large valuation and advisory firm working on fixed assets at manufacturing plants and pharmaceutical laboratories, then valued businesses at a specialized valuation firm, largely for litigation.
Over several years in sell-side M&A advisory, he learned how to position a company for sale and what buyers look for, including how private equity funds and large public companies evaluate an acquisition. Working closely with owners, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, plant controllers and plant managers showed him how these businesses actually run. The models mattered less than the judgment the work built: what makes a business valuable and profitable, why customers come back, and what companies that grow well have in common. He brings that judgment to AI work.
His experience spans home services, heavy industrial services, manufacturing, laboratory testing, software, medical services, construction and contracting, with a working view of how work moves from lead to delivery.
He uses AI tools daily. His interests include golf and course architecture, meditation and yoga, reading and writing. He still prefers a phone call.
How we work
- Think like an owner. We connect each AI decision to how the company makes money and what makes it valuable.
- Understand the work first. We do it by hand before building a system.
- Practice what we offer. Worden runs on the same approach. How we run Worden on AI agents
- Keep people in charge. A person approves anything that leaves the business, except routine items we name and agree on in writing.
- Work in your accounts. The AI work runs in your own accounts unless you choose otherwise.
- People review the work. A person reviews the numbers before the work goes to you.
- Name the limits. We say where the tools fall short.
- Answer the phone. We stay involved and keep you posted.
Research
We write up what we learn about putting AI to work in companies: what it costs to run, what it changes and what it is worth. It is published on Research. It is educational work about business economics and valuation, not a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
Say hello
Dallas is always glad to hear from people, about work or not. A question, an idea, a disagreement, or just hello. No pitch and no pressure.
